Your skin burns black under the guise of freedom. Here in this new city you become a seen thing. A painful anomaly.

I hope you live a life with vision. One of pure intentions. Many different missions. That when the heart speaks,You become quiet and listen. We are here to thrive.Not to sometimes survive. A life of chance. Happenstance. Mere circumstance is hardly one to be lived. So I beg you,When the man comes do not choose the role of victim. Or become the prisoner that only ever proclaims that life tricked him.

It is always the friend with the most worrisome parents whose child has tried the strangest drug. In you twenties all you meet are dreamers and people who party like their Fridays are running out. Who love like their hearts are bleeding. If you fall, be prepared to maybe catch yourself. For everything is fast here; even love.

My love says I am not a fool but I will play dumb for you. He tells me sweet nothings and calls only on the weekends. On Mondays I find our love in a bottle. On Tuesdays it clouds a Joint. He texts to confirm plans. Tells me to shave downstairs for next time. And I listen. Because I am young. Naïve. A little bit desperate and kind of hungry. There is this way he almost loves me. It's never enough but I always stay.

In the absence of memory, a person becomes like an animal. They know not where to go, how to act or who to be. They become lost. Like wandering sheep, hungry for truth. They become lost. Like a young child, ripe and ready for conditioning.
